About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in architecture to oversee and drive construction projects from initiation through to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of both construction and architectural principles to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets specific to FRAMECAD construction projects.
- FRAMECAD Supervision: Oversee and manage the end-to-end execution of light-gauge steel projects, from fabrication coordination to structural assembly on-site.
- Design Coordination: Act as the key liaison between the site team, design consultants, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues related to the FRAMECAD system.
- On-Site Management: Provide robust, hands-on leadership to site supervisors and sub-contractors, ensuring strict adherence to quality control, safety protocols, and construction drawings.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage communication and expectations with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies throughout the project.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of architectural concepts.
- Technical Expertise: Proven, demonstrable experience in managing and delivering projects utilizing FRAMECAD or equivalent light-gauge steel (LGS) construction systems is essential
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams, mentor junior staff, and communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Integrity & Reliability: A track record demonstrating sober habits and absolute reliability is a non-negotiable requirement for joining our quality-driven culture.
- Local Experience: Experience managing construction projects in the Papua New Guinea environment is highly regarded.
